Health & Fitness Calculators

Estimate common health and fitness measures using the formulas clinicians and coaches use. These are estimates for general information. They are not a diagnosis and do not replace advice from a qualified health professional.

Using health estimates sensibly

Formulas like BMI, Mifflin–St Jeor and the US Navy body fat method were developed from population studies. They work well on average but can be off for any one person, especially athletes, older adults, people with certain medical conditions, and during pregnancy. Use the results as a starting point, watch how your body responds over a few weeks, and talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before making big changes.
