  • For a 35% margin on cost 45 → price ≈ 69.23 (markup 53.85%).

Frequently asked questions

Why does a 50% markup give only a 33% margin?

Markup is measured against cost and margin against price. A 50 cost marked up 50% sells for 75; the 25 profit is a third of 75.
